Now go back to hakchi and choose the “Modules” option at the top of the program. It may ask if you want to overwrite them, just confirm it. hmod files from there and paste them into the user_mods folder inside of hakchi’s program folder. To do this, go into the cores folder that you just extracted. Once that is imported you can add additional cores to hakchi. This guide will not teach you about the extended features available, if you want to mess with the other features feel free to do so. Simply press “OK” on the screen that pops up. Drag and drop the RetroArch.hmod onto hakchi 2.20. PART TWO: Setting Up RetroArch in Hakchi 2.20ĭownload RetroArch with additional cores from here. You can always go to “Settings” then “Pages/folder structure” and play around with different combinations. *Note* If you want to change the folder settings, its all a matter of preference. It will now send over ROMs with the default folder settings. Step 14:Ĭhoose “Synchronize selected games with NES/SNES Classic” again. You can now turn it on with just the power button. Step 13:Īfter it finishes flashing the kernel you will have a window confirming you can now flash ROMS, power it off once again. You’ll know it worked because the program will take over. Turn your device on again the same way that you did before by holding reset and flipping on the power and continuing to hold reset for 5 seconds. In the drop-down menu choose “Flash Custom Kernel”. Go up to the Kernel section at the top of the program. You can now close this window and say yes if it questions you if you’re sure or not. That window will also disappear and show you the 3 step instructions screen again that said “Install Driver”. That window will then disappear, click back over to the command window.
Wait for another window to pop up asking you to trust the device software. It will open up a command window with some info. Step 7:Ĭlick “Install Driver” on the screen. Hold the reset switch up and switch the device on. Instead, plug SNES Classic into the PC with the USB cord. Ignore the onscreen steps as they seem to be a little vague. Now, in the lower right-hand corner, click “Synchronize selected games with NES/SNES Classic”. *Note* If it does not ask you which system you want to modify, simply choose “Settings” at the top, then click “Console Type” and it will then give you the four options. Choose SNES Classic or Super Famicom Classic and then navigate to “Add More Games” in the lower left-hand corner. Open hakchi, it should ask you which system you want to modify. We then gave you a tutorial on how to simply add more SNES/Super Famicom Roms to your SNES/Super Famicom Classic, if you want those instructions you can find them here. If you want to read all about the newest additions to the program and all of its features, click here. It took me about 2 and a half hours.Yesterday we reported to you that the world now has the newest hakchi with its 2.20 revision by developer Cluster_M. Just keep messing with your SNES mini til you get it. Long story short, I disabled the bullshit password (Konami code at launch of SNES mini on tv) and I was able to rebuild the custom kernel and again sync and add games!Īlso my PC (hakchi program little circle turns green) now recognizes my SNES Classic Edition when I plug into the USB and switch it on. Not really sure if that took effect or not because I tried several times after that. Also disabled signature driver whatever it's called by restarting my PC and pressing f7. This was after countless times trying to sync or add games. So I copy pasted that as well as the hide thumbnails and music (not sure what that does) mods into the folder and then tried to rebuild the custom kernel to get rid of those mods I didn't want. I was noticing that my user mods folder was different and didn't have the password mod (Konami code at system boot of SNES mini on tv). But I was going through the folders to take out the original kernel dump and the roms compiled so far. So I was going to delete my hakchi program and reinstall. In the process I did mess with that zig zag driver program and managed to fuck up my wireless mouse, but I can live with that. I'm not sure exactly how I got mine recognized by my laptop again, but I did.
